House for rent(cross-posting)?
If anyone's looking for somewhere in the South Baltimore area or know someone who's interested, I'm looking for roomates! I plan on either buying the current house I live in or renting it from my roomate in the very near future and will have plenty of room! I have two bedrooms that will be open: one is two rooms (and would be perfect for a couple), and the second room is a single room which overall is slightly smaller than the two other rooms combined. Hell, with all the space (and how the rooms are spaced) I could probably set up another bedroom on the first floor. | | Friday, May 2nd, 2008 | | 4:14 am |
Mum at Faerie Festival
So, again like last year, my mom is going to be playing music as one of the strolling performers (Strings on Wings) at Faerie Festival. They're scheduled for the Sunshine Stage at 3:30 on Friday. If anyone sees the wonderful lady at the top of this page, give her a hug from me. I sadly don't get to see her play much music these days. My work keeps me too busy to be able to go. | | Wednesday, March 26th, 2008 | | 10:52 pm |

What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?
I just quit my current full-time job (Land Surveying) on Friday for a job that'll provide me with almost 9,000 more a year, company car, much better college reimbursement, no need to work outside anymore, and a host of other smaller benefits. It's also a job I'll enjoy much more than Surveying. I'm going to be a Geek. More specifically, I'll be one of the in-home agents(driving around a little Volkswagen Beetle). If anyone remembers Seth(Scooter) from UMBC, he's been doing it for a couple years now and from what I can tell really enjoys it. I appreciate all the benefits it offers, but the most important to me is the fact that they'll reimburse me for college towards any major (not just one in the field I'll be working in). Anyhow, more about it once I start the job on the 23rd! Current Mood: geeky (go figure)Current Music: Sirenia - First We Take Manhatten | | Sunday, October 14th, 2007 | | 11:51 am |

Had a really fun time this holiday week-middle.
All sorts of fun happenings and seeing people I hadn't seen in quite a while. Music, good liquor, sitting in front of a fire, making fire, Transformers, and great food. Coming back had one large snag that actually turned out to be quite fun. I was following jadedsquirrel to route 70, since I didn't know the way. Traffic was really slow until we got to this, where everyone ended up at a dead stop. ( cut for chickens and immolation )I've stayed up too late now, I have to wake up in less than 6 hours and I'm still wide-awake. Not boding well for Fred-coherency tomorrow. Buying new glasses.
I'm planning to get a pair of prescription sunglasses for this summer. I'm considering transition-type lenses (change with sunlight), but I've heard of problems with them eventually sticking at dark. They also don't get as dark as a good pair of sunglasses and supposedly stay clear when you're driving. On the plus side, I'd only be carrying one pair of glasses around (I carry enough things around as it is). The thing that's got me undecided is that for the price of the transition-type coating, I could almost get a second pair of the glasses I want - with a dark tint. Any suggestions? Neat Things
I'm amused. My mom's band is going to be performing at Fairie Fest. She seems a little nervous as I think she's kind of intimidated by gothy and fae people. I'm thinking of heading up there one day that weekend. Is anyone else going? I would like to go if only to support my mom, but I'm sure she'll be busy playing music for most of the time. Flu = Teh suck
I was up in PA this weekend playing games with a couple of friends. On the way, we got lost and I just had to get a picture of this sign we saw in Perryville. Current Mood: sickCurrent Music: Shpongle - DMT Remix | | Saturday, December 30th, 2006 | | 9:44 pm |
Bored. Bored. So Bored.
So, currently Fred has no plans for New Years. Would anyone like to change that? I do tricks! Current Mood: boredCurrent Music: Kandelabrum - The Foucault Pendulum | | Saturday, December 16th, 2006 | | 7:08 pm |
Scorched Eyebrows and Burnt Arm Hair
It's funny when all the people who live in the same house as you are fire performers. I learn neat stuff just from watching them play. Current Mood: rejuvenatedCurrent Music: Stratovarius - Phoenix | | Saturday, November 5th, 2005 | | 10:17 am |

Huzzah! I now have a full-fledged BEOS machine up and running. It's just a P-III 600 with 256 MB of ram and onboard video, but Beos runs perfectly, looks beautiful, and works with every bit of hardware on the machine. Granted, this isn't the last version of Beos that Be Inc. released, it's Zeta, an updated version of Beos using code from the original release. Soooo fun. It reminds me of the linux desktops I've messed around with, but the machine actually runs stable! To replace my pda that just bit the dust, I just bought a Voq Smartphone, which looks like a decent replacement and a good phone to boot. If we get employee accounts at radioshack with cingular that have any similarities with our sprint employee accounts (unlimited internet and such) I shall have a really neat gadget to carry around with me at all times. Yay for tech-toys! Current Mood: techyCurrent Music: Techno from my Beos Machine | | Monday, September 12th, 2005 | | 10:33 pm |
So I get my utility bills in today and I find I double-paid BGE, so I won't have to worry about that for a month and some. Heh. I really hate being absentminded sometimes. I'm starting to work at Radioshack less and less. That's a good thing, I've missed being around my friends for a while now. I love working with the people there, and I love the laid-back environment, but working there 30+ hours a week in addition to a fulltime (40+) job is really grating on me. I stay up too late. Baen = Awesome http://www.webscriptions.net/free/I had just bought 1633, but would have preferred a copy to store on my PDA. Lo and behold, there was one available from this site! By the way, 1632 and 1633 (Eric Flint) are really good alternate history-ish books. Current Mood: sleepyCurrent Music: Within Temptation - Mother Earth |
